The film is available for rental or purchase via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Google Play, YouTube and Sky Store.
The film tells the story of 65-year-old London piano maker Desmond O’Keeffe’s endeavour to deliver a piano to a mountain village school in the Indian Himalayas.
We follow Desmond and his team as they make the trek from his piano repair shop in Camden Town, London to Zanskar, one of the most remote places on Earth and where the village of Lingshed is situated.
Navigating dangerous mountain passes, wayward Sherpas and some of the most stunning scenery in the world, Desmond and his team’s journey to Lingshed tell a story of spiritual resilience, passion for music, the unrelenting progress of civilisation and the beauty of nature.
Previously, Piano to Zanskar received the Grand Prize at the 2019 Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival, the Gold award for Best Film at the 2020 edition of Sheffield Adventure Film Festival and the award for Best Mountain Culture Film 2020 at Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival.
